Why Rogue AC? I love being part of a team that has the same passion for running as me! After being post-collegiate for one year, I have learned a lot about myself as a runner. I took a risk and pursued a further distance because my coaches believed in me. Rogue provides a positive and an uplifting environment that I thrive best in. Austin is a great place to live. I love it and the abundance of hills that I “have” to train on.
Favorite Running Workout: 6 mile repeats followed by fast 400’s all on the track
Your go-to, pre-race meal? The night before its chicken & shrimp carbonara pasta & LOTS of garlic bread! Right before race it’s a peanut butter jelly sandwich cut into 4 squares 🙂
Your favorite post-run recovery food? Large chocolate milk, eggs, french toast and bacon.
What athlete (past or present) most inspires your running? The most influential female athlete to me would have to be, Phoebe Wright, an 800 meter runner from The University of Tennessee. Being a walk-on like her, I went through my college career watching her grow to be a top collegiate performer and a professional Nike sponsored athlete. Her drive and confidence inspires me to train and compete to the best of my ability in the hopes that one day I can obtain the accolades and recognition that she has.
Hobbies/Interests outside of running? Being a nanny, dancing, baking goodies for my teammates, family time, shopping, studying and watching any kind of UT sports
Dream job after your running career? Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Favorite Austin Restaurant? Central Market
French toast, pancakes, waffles? French toast with extra cinnamon and powdered sugar!
Favorite breakfast taco ingredients? Eggs and potatoes with a splash of salsa
Favorite Movie? I am absolutely in love with all the Harry Potter movies.
Favorite TV Show? How I Met Your Mother
